Aims and Scope Journal of Military Medicine (JMM) is aimed to promote communication among clinical researchers worldwide. This journal publishes original works within the area of clinical medicine. It is an international journal with editorial and consultant contributors from various parts of the world, and is published in a volume of 6 issues appearing bimonthly Section Policies Editorial Editorials are invited from expert in the feild. Actually editorials discuss some contemporary health issue which needs special attention by the medical community in the region. Original Article Reports of original clinical research can be submitted to the section of original article. Howevere the editor is free to change it to a different section (e.g. short communication) if it does not meet certain criteria of originality and importance. Short Communications Articles with low to medium originality but with some important messages which deserve publishing may appear as shout communication. Review Articles Reviews in any branched of clinical medicine are considered for publication. They should be written by an expert in the feild and should have a considerable number of relevant references. Case Reports Clinical cases which rarely have been reported and are interesting for the physician in the speciality are considered for publication. Letters to Editor We encourage our reader to submit letter critiquing published paper in MMJ. However sometime submitted papers to other sections may be accepted to be published as a letter. It is the resposiblity of the author to change the format of the paper to a letter and decrease the word count to 250 - 300 with a maximum of one figure or one table and a maximum of four references. Peer Review Process Contributions for almost all sections of journals are subjected to peer review by at least three experts in the field. Submissions should conform to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals . Unsolicited manuscripts will be reviewed for publication with the following understanding that: They represent original work The paper, including its essential data, tables, and figures, has not been published elsewhere in whole or part The paper neither was published already nor is being under review elsewhere Upon acceptance, the paper may not be published elsewhere without the written permission of this journal The published paper is the sole property of MMJ and may be edited before publication Publication Frequency Journal of Military Medicin is publishing bimanually, ten issues per volume and fure volume annually Open Access Policy This journal provides open access to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and citation levels. The journal uses open source software, developed by the Public Knowledge Project, to help make open access economically viable, as well as to improve the scholarly and public quality of research. |
